Instructional Design Theory : ASSURE

As I mentioned from the previous post, I will talk about one of the instructional design theory knows as ASSURE.

Our lecturer assigned every groups to come up with a poster and information regarding other instructional design theories. Hence, we’ve chosen ASSURE which stands for:

A – Analyze
S – State standards and objectives
S – Select strategies and materials
U – Utilize technology and media
R – Require learner’s participation
E – Evaluate and revise

Below is the poster that my groupmates and I have made 👇

ASSURE is an improved version of ADDIE which focus more about the learner’s objectives and needs. Other instructional design theories that seems related to teaching the leaners are:

-       - GAGNE 9 events
-       -  Dick and Carey
-       - Rapid Prototyping
-       - Guaranteed Learning
-       - ARCS Model

Eventhough there are tons of theories stated, but in the end it serves the same purpose which is to guide the learners using proper teaching aid. I hope that you may learn a few great things from these theories.

See you again on the next post!
