Colors and our lives

Welcome back. Great day isn’t it, dear readers? Today, I’ve experienced a wonderful moment whereby I listened to a talk show through a podcast. Before I explain further about the talk show, I will briefly explain to you readers about podcast.

Podcast is a combination words of IPod and broadcast. It is broadcasted via Internet so you can search any topic that you want to listen to. You can also download the audio for later use, which is super convenient. Aaanndd, leaners can use podcast for their own benefit. They can enhance their listening skills as well as pronunciation while they listening to the audio.

So, are you ready to know about the talk show? Hehe. The audio that I listened to is entitled ‘The Secret Lives of Color’ by Kassia St. Claire.

Here in the audio, she explained about how did all the colors in this world are made, what are the meaning behind them, the story behind each colors and much more. She started off with red color, a familiar color that is really well-known since it is universal color. She talked about how it actually influences our daily lives and such. Next color was purple. Back in past, it was known as a color for royalty. Only people in royalty family could wore such eye-catching color. She even talked about green color in which, according to her book, had kill two adults because that color derived from a toxic compound named copper arsenite.

After I listened to the audio, I realized that every colors that appear in front of us really affect our lives. Just imagine a world without any brilliant colors. Our lives would probably fill up with emptiness. Since everyone have their own favorite color, let’s all appreciate it and thank to those people who had created them in the past. Below is a link to the talk show.

Till we meet again!
